Brian Li, 16, is a junior at the Williams School in New London, CT. He currently studies with Wolfram Koessel at the Manhattan School of Music Pre-college. Additionally he is mentored by John Koen, cellist in the Philadelphia Orchestra.

 

He has attended the Meadowmount School of Music, the Encore Chamber Music Institute, and the Philadelphia International Music Festival. He has played in masterclasses for Bryan Cheng and Dmitry Kouzov.

 

As a chamber musician, he has performed with Dmitri Berlinsky, Irina Nuzova, Simonide Braconi and Wolfram Koessel. As a soloist, he has performed with the Greater Connecticut Youth Orchestra performing Elgar’s Cello concerto under the baton of Maestro Chris Hisey.
